Family Vacation 2012

One more catch up post!

We took our family vacation to St. Joseph, MI!!

Time away with our family is something we really value.

I mean, making memories on family vacations is SUPER high on our priority list.  So, we make it happen a few times a year.

One thing that makes it financially possible for us is the generosity of people in our lives.  Some friends of ours at church own a beautiful condo on Lake Michigan just outside of St. Joe.  They generously blessed us by letting us use it for our vacation!

I love how God uses His people to bless others!  ♥

So here it is in review!

1.  We rented a bike car!  Aren’t we such a cute family?!  :D   We cruised St. Joe for an hour making everyone super jealous by our coolness.  If you’ve never done this, you really should!  Our kids loved it!!  (Scooter Joe’s, downtown)  They have lots of shops down there.  My favorite… The CHOCOLATE CAFE!  Oooohhh yessss…. (went twice!)

2.  It rained one day, so we spent the day in Curious Kids Children’s Museum.  It had some rad face painting there.  M did this masterpiece herself!  I personally love children’s museums!  They are so fun.  Actually, I think I want to own one some day.  Wouldn’t that be a great job?  This one had a dinosaur exhibit, animal hospital, and so much stuff in the upstairs it was crazy!  We had a great time!

3.  Here’s two of the cutest boys in the whole world!  Swimming was for sure what we spent most of our time doing.  The condo had 2 pools and lake access.  Baby I was so cute in the pool.  One day he fell asleep on me on a raft and we just floated together.  I LOVED that!  He’s so sweet.  Tony taught the older ones to snorkel really well.  Seriously, we probably swam 20 hours on this vacation.

4.  We call Baby I “Baby on the Go.”  He just has to get strapped on and go with our family.  Here we are with a kitty that was all healed up at the animal hospital at the children’s museum!

5.  The Children’s Museum had two locations.  This one was down by the beach.  (My preference, if I had to choose only one location)  Here’s J rocking the rock wall!  This location had water play, disc golf, virtual surfing, and lots of fun stuff.

6.  This is my E playing on Silver Beach.  Super nice beach with a playground, beach volleyball, concessions, and a pretty lighthouse!  The water on our first visit to the beach was FREEZING!!  But with big waves, so the kids thought it was cool.  I love living in Michigan with all the beauty around.

I love getting away with my family.

I think it’s one of the best things we do as parents to invest in our kids.  I love giving them experiences and adventures that will become sweet memories.

Love my Dear ones.
